How the Extension Works

When you use API Testing PRO:

API requests are sent directly from your browser to the endpoint you specify
Request history is stored locally in your browser's storage (chrome.storage.local)
Your saved collections and preferences stay on your device
No data passes through our servers

Permissions Explained

storage: Saves your request history, user preferences, and saved API collections locally so you can access previous requests after closing and reopening the browser.

sidePanel: Provides a larger workspace in the browser side panel for composing complex API requests and viewing detailed response data without leaving the current tab.

contextMenus: Allows you to right-click selected text (such as URLs or JSON) and quickly send it to API Testing PRO for testing.

activeTab: Enables the context menu to access the current tab's URL or selected text (such as API endpoints or JSON payloads) when you right-click and choose to send it to API Testing PRO. No data is read without explicit user action.

Remote Code

API Testing PRO does not use any remote code. All JavaScript is bundled within the extension package. No external scripts are loaded or executed.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally using Chrome's storage API:

Request history
Saved API collections
User preferences and settings

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us.

Data Transfer & Usage

We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties
We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose
We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes

Third-Party Services

API Testing PRO does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or tracking tools.
